Last week I posted the Raiders remaining schedule and asked you what you thought about what the outcomes of the games were going to be and their final record. Now it's my turn to give my predictions. Since I will be going over each game more extensively later on in the season, I will just say whether or not they will win each game and therefore how I see their final record ending up.
11/21 @ Pittsburgh - W
I think this is a trap game for Pittsburgh. They have come off back-to-back prime time games, one being a division opponent and the other one being their nemesis in the Patriots. I think they will have a letdown in energy in this one, plus, the Raiders will have had two weeks to prepare and get healthy.
11/28 vs. Miami - W
Miami is having troubles getting a QB healthy enough to play and their offense has really struggled. Although they play well on the road, the Raiders will be ready and have played extremely well at home this year.
12/5 @ San Diego - L
San Diego will be halfway through their late season run and the Raiders just don't play well in San Diego. They will also have Vincent Jackson back for this game.
12/12 @ Jacksonville - L
This will be a tough road game. Garrard has played well this year in wins. It's always tough to win on the road, especially to a team who plays good defense and runs the ball well.
12/19 vs. Denver - W
Denver does not match-up well with the Raiders. They can't run the ball well and they can't stop the run. They also won't be able to throw the ball if we have a healthy defensive backfield. Their receivers are not big and physical enough to play against our man coverage.
12/26 vs. Indianapolis - W
This one will be a lot like the Denver game. Indy is not good at stopping the run and they can't run the ball. That is a recipe for disaster in the Black Hole.
1/2 @ Kansas City - W
Teams have shown the blueprint to the league what it takes to be successful against the Chiefs. They are on the decline after a 3-0 start. It will be hard fought as usual, but the Raiders are more polished on offense and are more polished on defense with more talent.
There you have it. I have them going 10-6 on the year, which is what I think it will take to win the division. If we keep improving like we have, this is a definite possibility. It will all ride on our quarterback situation. If that gets settled by week 11, it should all fall into place. Leave your thoughts and comments.
Sounds like a good possibility. I wish the Bengals would turn it around like that. Doesn't appear too hopeful this year though lol. Anywho good luck to the Raiders.
