Here is a list of injuries that the Raiders currently have and what they mean for the matchups with the Rams:
Travis Goethel - LB (Out - Back)
What it means: Goethel, this year's sixth-round pick, made the team as a backup. Even if he was healthy would probably only see 8-10 snaps so the injury is insignificant.
Walter McFadden - CB (Out - Hamstring)
What it means: McFadden was also one of this year's draft picks to make the squad. He has some upside, but isn't ready to move into a significant role at this time. If Routt and CJ continue to struggle opposite Asomugha, he could eventually step into that role, but currently won't see anything more than slot work if healthy.
Chaz Schilens - WR (Out - Knee)
What it means: Chaz was expected to be a big part of this offense as the younger receivers continue to develop. He has had some problems staying healthy since he entered the league and this is a growing concern. He is by far our most reliable weapon as a Receiver and will be missed. This means that Campbell will have to continue to rely on Louis Murphy and TE Zach Miller. You also might see some more underneath passes to McFadden like last week.
Michael Bush - RB (Questionable - Thumb)
What it means: Bush fully participated in practice on Wednesday and then went back to limited practice on Thursday, which means his status for Sunday's game is definitely up in the air. If he is unable to go, McFadden should fill in nicely like he did last week. Not much concern here no matter who gets the bulk of the workload. They are both capable backs.
Robert Gallery - LG (Doubtful - Hamstring)
What it means: If Gallery is unable to go, which is a 75% probability, Daniel Loper will most likely get the start. Gallery is our best lineman and will be sorely missed. Loper has started 5 games in his young career, all with the Lions. Cable will probably use more max-protection sets with Gallery out and based on their performance as a unit last week.
Other injuries of note - Asomugha is listed as Probable, Richard Seymour as Questionable, Chris Johnson as Questionable and Dez Bryant as Probable. Asomugha and Seymour should play - they play through injuries all the time. They are also the leaders of this defense and mean a lot to the defense's success for them to be out there.
Go Raiders!!
